Replacement Door Pin and Bushing Package - 99CPU

• To alleviate the high cost of replacing door pins and bushings with complete hinge assemblies, we have devised a quick and effective way to cure the problem.

1. Remove door from body (Refer to appropriate service manual)
2. Grind/cut off two peaned pins at the peaned end.
3. Use a punch to remove the remaining pin.
4. Remove old bushings.

1. Install the brass bushings into the two hinge holes.  Both holes are the same diameter.
2. Install the longer of the two pins into the top hinge hole and through the "U" bracket.
3. Thread on the locknut so that the threads are started but do not tighten.
4. Install the shorter of the two pins through the "U" bracket and into the bottom hinge hole.
5. Install the supplied washer over the threaded portion of the bottom pin.
6. Thread on the locknut so that the threads are started but do not tighten.
7. Using a hand held wrench, completely tighten both nuts.
8. Replace the door to the body. (Refer to the appropriate service manual.)
