99CPU - TD - Door Hinge Pin and Bushing Repair Kit
Installation Instructions

Removal
  1. Remove door from body (Refer to appropriate service manual).
  2. Grind/cut off two peaned pins at the peaned end.
  3. Use a punch to remove the remaining pin.
  4. Remove old bushings.

Replacement

  1. Install the brass bushings (#5) into the two hinge holes.  Both holes are the same diameter.
  2. Install the longer of the two pins (#1) into the top hinge hole and through the “U” bracket.
  3. Thread on the locknut (#2) so that the threads are started but do not tighten.
  4. Install the shorter of the two pins (#3) through the “U” bracket and into the bottom hinge hole.
  5. Install the supplied washer (#4)  over the threaded portion of the bottom pin.
  6. Thread on a 5/16 standard nut to pull the pin into place. Remove the standard 5/16” nut and thread on the supplied nyloc locknut so that the threads are started but do not tighten.
  7. Using a hand held wrench, slowly tighten both upper and lower locknuts.
  8. Replace the door to the body. (Refer to appropriate service manual.)
  9. Lubricate the new door pins with an approved lubricant.
